Trevor Greenfield

Trevor has been roaming the woods since an episode of "Survivorman" sparked a primal chord in his soul.  Now 21, Trevor is the youngest member of the ZASC staff, but don't let that fool you, he is just as capable with a firearm or firebow as the next staff member.  By always keeping an open mind and paying attention to his surroundings, Trevor earned the name Watcher of the Woods and plays the role of staff photographer.  Trevor is also currently working towards his Registered Nurse degree and hopes to provide insight about medical matters during classes.

Name and or Alias or both: Watcher of the Woods

How did you get your nickname?  -I have an eye for photography that is unmatched by most and pick up on little details that many miss.

Family Situation (Married, Kids, Pets, etc):  -Single

Day job (Or regular occupation) outside of ZASC:  -Part time nursing student and part time patient care tech on an adult behavioral health floor in a hospital.

Past / current occupations and how they contribute to your current position with ZASC:  -I was a photo editor/lead photographer for Kirkwood Community College's newspaper which lead to my photographer position.  I also am working toward my RN degree so I hope to be able to input some medical information to courses.

Hobbies:  -Hiking, biking, photography, camping, squirrel hunting, reading, and primitive living skills.

How did you become a part of ZASC?:   -I was recruited by THE Guy Cain and asked to be a photographer for an event, the rest is history.

What past training and certifications have you received that aids in your role with ZASC?:  -I am CPR certified.  I also have my LPN degree from Kirkwood Community College and am working on my RN.

What are your 3 top skill sets?  -Firstly I would say my hunting skills which includes shooting, walking stealthfully, and my ability to observe.  Secondly I would say are my medical skills.  Lastly, I would say my wild plant identification.

What are your 3 worst skills that you are currently working on improving?   -Although I listed it as one of my best, I still have A LOT to learn about wild plant identification.  I am decent with fire starting but need to hone my firebow skills quite a bit.  Lastly, I would say that my navigation skills are my most lacking.

What are your 3 favorite web sites for preparedness information?

www.wildsurvive.com

www.zombieasc.com

Are you part of any SAR/CERT teams in your area?

What’s your favorite End of the World or Apocalyptic Film and why?  -The Book of Eli.  4 words sum it up...  Never give up hope.

What’s your favorite non-apocalyptic film and why?

What 4 items (1 Firearm, 1 Blade, 2 other objects) would you choose to have on you when the Defecation hits the Oscillator?

-Firearm: Ruger 10/22 with peep sights.  1,000 rounds of ammo weighs nothing, it can take down anything that lives in Iowa, and its LIGHT and FAST!  -Blade: ESEE 4.  Small, light, and capable.  -2 other objects:  10x10 canvas tarp for shelter and a steel pot for boiling water/cooking.

What is your favorite method of starting fire:  -My favorite method is a firesteel.  You can use any sharp object as a striker and start thousands of fires with minimal effort.

What is your weapon of choice (not necessarily for Zombies).    -My favorite weapon in my collection is my Savage MKII GL bolt action .22.  One of my favorite hobbies is squirrel hunting and this gun is my constant companion in the woods.
